Inspect and clean up ingested data

Use the Data screen to inspect every record, bin, file and ingest run in your workspace, filter by source and time, export CSV and delete data safely.

What the Data screen shows

The Data screen (sidebar → Data) lists every record your tables, REST APIs and imports have brought in — including records kept after a source was removed. It updates live as data arrives (look for the Live dot), so you can slice, inspect and clean up data without leaving the browser.

A KPI strip across the top shows Records, Latest record, Ingest runs and Sources. When ingest runs have failed, a notice appears with a Review failed runs button that jumps to the Runs tab filtered to failures.

It is the right place to be when a map layer looks wrong ("why does the cold-room sensor say 40 °C when the device sent 4?"), when you want a record of what came in and when, or when you need to delete a bad import without touching anything else. Owners, admins and editors can delete here; viewers can browse.

Four tabs, one screen

Tabs along the top split the screen into four kinds of data. Every tab shares the same toolbar, selection bar, paginated table and per-row actions — only the columns differ.

TabWhat it listsKey columns
RecordsEvery record from tables, REST integrations and file imports.Key · Source · Fields · Updated
Rooms & binsBin records from rack layout imports — a file of bin codes matched to the racks on a facility.Code · Source · Status · Notes · Last synced
FilesSpreadsheets and GeoJSON files you imported as integrations, so you can see what was loaded and when.File name · Source · Size · Uploaded
RunsOne row each time an integration fetches or imports data — what was read, imported, skipped or failed.Source · Result · Outcome · Started · Duration

Filter the view

The toolbar filters combine — every filter narrows the table and the match count together, so what you see is always what the count says.

  • Source picker — a searchable list of every table and integration (removed sources are badged). Pick one to scope every tab to that source.
  • Time range — Any time, Last hour, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Custom range.
  • Status — on Records, choose All sources, Connected sources or Removed sources (shown when a source has been removed). On Runs, filter by result: Failed, Partly failed or Succeeded.
  • Search — Records searches keys and values; other tabs search their own columns.
  • Export CSV — downloads the records on the current page.
  • Clear filters — resets everything in one click.

Inspect a record

  1. 1
    Open a row

Click a record (or its Open record action). A side panel opens beside the table — the table stays usable.

  2. 2
    Switch between Fields and Payload

Fields shows each value as a readable list; Payload shows the exact JSON received. Copy JSON copies it. Records with a position or linked shape show those too.

  3. 3
    Step through the page

Use ↑ / ↓ (or the Previous / Next buttons) to move between records without closing the panel. Delete record removes the one you are looking at.

Delete safely

Every delete on the Data screen is permanent. There are deliberate levels so you never take a bigger hammer than you meant to. Deleting needs the Owner, Admin or Editor role — viewers don't see the controls.

KindScopeHow to trigger
Single rowOne record, bin, file or run.Delete action on the row → confirmation dialog.
BulkEvery selected row.Tick checkboxes → a selection bar appears → "Delete N".
Everything from a sourceEvery record the picked source has brought in. The source stays connected and keeps sending new data.Pick a source → ⋯ menu → "Delete everything from this source".
Older than a dateEvery record from the picked source received before the start of the time range.Pick a source + a time range → ⋯ menu → "Delete everything older than …".
