About

The operations layer every facility always wanted.

Spatial Map is browser-based indoor mapping and 3D digital twin software for the teams who run facilities. We started it because the gap between a CAD floor plan and a live operations dashboard had been there for twenty years — and nobody was crossing it.

At a glance

What is Spatial Map?

Spatial Map is browser-based indoor mapping and 3D digital twin software for warehouses, factories, retail stores, venues, airports, data centers and logistics sites. Teams import a PDF or DWG floor plan, trace racks, rooms, walls, doors, stairs and lifts in 3D, connect live data from RFID, BLE tags, IoT sensors and business systems, build reports and share read-only views — with nothing to install. It is sold as a cloud app at app.spatialmap.io and is also available as MIT-licensed open-source software you can self-host with Docker.

What it is

Who it is for
Operations, facilities, security and IT teams running warehouses, factories, retail stores, cold stores, logistics sites, venues, airports, campuses and data centers.
Core features
PDF, DWG (AutoCAD R2004–R2018) and image floor-plan import; a multi-floor 3D editor for racks, rooms, walls, doors, stairs, lifts and escalators; live data links shown as markers, value badges, coloured areas, heatmaps, camera cones and pulsing zones; eight built-in reports per facility plus a report builder with PDF, Excel, CSV and JSON export; single-floor turn-by-turn wayfinding; read-only share links; four team roles.
Technologies
RFID readers and middleware, BLE tags and RTLS engines, IoT sensors and gateways, and WMS, ERP or MES data — connected through REST sources, file uploads (CSV, Excel, JSON, GeoJSON) and tables with a write API.
Solutions
Anti-theft, Asset Management, Inventory, Cold Chain, Logistics, Supply Chain and Venue.
Languages
The app runs in English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic (full right-to-left) and Chinese. The website has pages in English, Arabic, German, Italian and Dutch, and the blog in six languages.
Regions
Sold online worldwide with the same USD pricing, with regional pages for the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon), Europe (Germany, Italy, Netherlands) and the USA. The team works with customers remotely.
Pricing
7-day free trial (up to 5 facilities, no credit card), then Pro at $60 per month or $600 per year for up to 4 facilities. Custom services for larger estates and done-for-you builds. The open-source edition is free.
Open-source edition
The same app under the MIT licence, self-hosted with Docker Compose and a free Mapbox token, with no plans or limits.

Mission

Make every facility legible at a glance.

Facilities are full of decisions made on intuition because the spatial context is locked inside someone's head. We give that context back to the entire team — visual, live, shareable, no software to install.

Our job is to put the floor plan, the inventory, the sensors, and the people on the same canvas — and keep it that way as the facility changes underneath you.

What we believe

Four values we keep coming back to.

Ship the useful version first
Working software beats roadmap slides. Every feature lands behind a real user need.
Operators come before features
We watch the people doing receiving, picking, and putaway. If a feature does not save them a click, we cut it.
Latency is a feature
Sliders commit on release. Drafts stay local. The map redraws the instant your data moves.
Boring tech, audacious surface
We keep the foundation deliberately calm so the canvas above it can be ambitious.
FAQ

Spatial Map in brief: common questions

What is Spatial Map?

Spatial Map is browser-based indoor mapping and 3D digital twin software for facilities such as warehouses, factories, retail stores, venues and airports. You turn a PDF or DWG floor plan into a multi-floor 3D map, then show live data from RFID, BLE, IoT sensors and business systems on it, with reports and read-only share links.

Is Spatial Map open source?

Yes. The same app is published on GitHub under the MIT licence and can be self-hosted with Docker Compose and a free Mapbox token, with no plans or limits. The cloud edition at app.spatialmap.io is the same software, managed for you — see open-source indoor mapping software.

How much does Spatial Map cost?

The cloud edition starts with a 7-day free trial (up to 5 facilities, no credit card). After that, Pro is $60 per month or $600 per year for up to 4 facilities per workspace. The open-source edition is free to self-host, and larger estates can ask for custom services.

Does Spatial Map support RFID and BLE tracking?

Yes. Spatial Map shows reads from RFID readers and positions or room presence from BLE tags on the floor plan, alongside IoT sensor readings and gateways. The data comes in through REST sources, file uploads or tables with a write API, so it works with the readers, tags and middleware you already run — see RFID asset tracking and BLE asset tracking.

Which industries use Spatial Map?

It is built for operations teams in warehousing and fulfilment, manufacturing, retail, cold storage, logistics and cross-docks, and venues such as stadiums, airports, convention centres and campuses. Seven ready-made solutions cover anti-theft, asset management, inventory, cold chain, logistics, supply chain and venue operations.

Which languages does Spatial Map support? Is Arabic supported?

The app is available in six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic and Chinese. Arabic has a full right-to-left layout, and the website has Arabic pages for the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

How is Spatial Map different from Mappedin, MapsIndoors or Pointr?

Mappedin and MapsIndoors are best known for indoor maps and wayfinding for places people visit, and Pointr for blue-dot positioning on phones. Spatial Map focuses on live operations: putting RFID, BLE, sensor and stock data on a 3D floor plan with reports, and it has an MIT open-source edition. A fair, side-by-side view is on the comparison pages.
