Manage a facility's data links

Open the Data links list for a facility to search, switch on or off, edit and delete every data link — and find the shortcuts from the toolbar and shapes.

Open the Data links list

In the facility editor, open the Data flyout on the left toolbar (the database icon) and click the link icon, Manage data links. The flyout's other two buttons import a file and export the map.

  • The Data links (N) pill next to the facility name counts the facility's links. Clicking it opens New data link directly, not the list.
  • Selecting a shape shows a Data links box at the bottom of its side panel, with Add and per-link edit and delete. It lists links that target that kind of shape: links pinned to this exact shape, plus every link that matches by attribute or external code. Selecting a room's area, for example, lists Room status.

What the list shows

ColumnWhat it shows
(chip)A dot in the link's colour with its icon — the same marker the map draws, so the list reads like a legend.
NameThe link's name.
TargetWhat the link paints: Polygon, Circle, Marker, Line, Image, 3D Model, Grid cell, Text label, Stair or Door. Links pinned to one shape add its name, for example "Polygon · Office 2".
SourceThe source and the kind of data it holds, for example "Staff (marker)".
ModeA short display-mode name: Point (coord), Point (shape), Gauge, Tint, Heatmap, Track, FOV cone, ROI pulse or History player.
OnThe on/off switch.
(actions)Edit (pencil) and Delete (bin).

"Search by name, kind, source…" filters as you type, matching the name, the target, the mode and the source.

Switch, edit, delete

ActionWhat happens
On switchOff hides the layer everywhere — editor, preview, viewer and share links — without losing any settings. It saves straight away.
EditOpens Edit data link with the link's saved settings. Cancel discards your changes.
DeleteAsks "Delete data link "Room status"?" and removes the link. The source and its rows are untouched; only this layer goes.
New linkOpens an empty New data link dialog.

Empty states

StateWhat you see
No links yet"No data links yet. Pick a data source from /integrations first, then link it to shapes here." with New link.
Search finds nothing"No data links match your search."

If a link is pinned to a shape that has since been deleted, its Target shows the shape's number instead of its name (for example "Polygon · #412") and the layer draws nothing. Edit it to pick another shape, or delete it. Next: Data source and display mode.
