Refund Policy
Straightforward: 14 days no-questions on your first payment, prorata on unused annual plans, and Stripe handles the actual money movement.
Overview
Spatial Map subscriptions are sold and billed by Spatial Map. Payment processing is handled by our payment service provider, Stripe . Refunds are issued by us under the rules described below and returned to your original payment method via Stripe.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of your country of residence — including the 14-day right of withdrawal available to consumers in the EU and UK under Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
14-day satisfaction window
If you are dissatisfied with a first-time paid Subscription, request a full refund within 14 days of the initial charge and we will approve it. This applies to the first payment on a new Subscription only.
After the 14-day window, monthly Subscriptions are non-refundable for the period already consumed; annual Subscriptions may be eligible for a prorata refund at our discretion — see the section below.
Annual subscriptions and prorata
If you cancel an annual Subscription mid-cycle, we will consider a prorata refund of the unused months provided the workspace has not been in active use during those months (no user logins, no data ingest, no share-link traffic). Send the request to [email protected] with your Stripe charge id and we will confirm within 5 business days.
Cancellation vs. refund
Cancellation stops your Subscription from renewing at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancel from the Subscription screen inside the app or from the Stripe customer portal linked in every Stripe receipt.
Refundreverses a charge that has already been made. Cancellation and refund are separate actions — cancelling does not automatically issue a refund.
When refunds are not available
- Renewal charges after the initial 14-day window (except for annual prorata as above).
- Overage or add-on fees you have already consumed.
- Custom development, one-off services, or enterprise plans covered by a separate order form (refunds governed by that order form).
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms of Service, including violations of Acceptable Use.
- Charges older than 60 days, which fall outside Stripe's standard refund window.
How to request a refund
Two paths, either works:
- Stripe receipt: click Contact us about this purchaseat the bottom of any receipt Stripe sent you and choose “Request a refund”. Stripe will route the request to us for approval where required.
- Email us: write to [email protected] with the Stripe charge id (looks like
ch_3P...) and a short reason. We reply within 2 business days.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 – 10 business days depending on your card issuer or bank.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank without contacting us first, we may suspend the workspace until the dispute is resolved. Chargebacks cost us more than refunds and delay everyone — please email [email protected] first, we almost always resolve refund requests without needing to escalate to your card issuer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect on the effective date above and do not apply retroactively to purchases made before the change.
