Indoor mapping and RFID tracking software for Sweden

Sweden pairs heavy industry on the west coast with one of Europe’s most mature online-shopping markets. Spatial Map gives the buildings in between — fulfilment centres, vehicle and component plants, large home-furnishing stores, arenas — a live 3D map in the browser, with racks coloured by stock, carriers and tools as live markers and every dock door in view. The interface is in English; Swedish is not available.

E-commerce fulfilment

Swedish consumers took to online shopping early, and fulfilment centres around Stockholm, in the Gothenburg region and in logistics locations such as Jönköping serve customers across the Nordics. Borås in particular has a long mail-order history and remains closely tied to online retail. These buildings live with peaks, a wide range of SKUs, pick zones, packing stations, returns and outbound staging that changes by the hour.

The Crestline Fulfillment demo shows that kind of site on one live map: 20 racks and 2,204 rack locations coloured from the rack inventory, pick-to-light zones and packing stations reporting their output, staging lanes, forklifts and the trailer yard. If your bin inventory comes from a WMS API or a CSV export, it can drive the rack colours directly — see stock by bin on a rack grid.

Gothenburg: Scandinavia’s largest port

The Port of Gothenburg is the largest port in Scandinavia, with container, ro-ro, car and energy terminals and rail connections to inland terminals across Sweden. Distribution centres and logistics parks around it serve much of the Nordic market, and goods often cross a building within hours on their way to another country.

For those sites, Spatial Map draws dock doors, staging lanes, yard slots and the gate on the site plan and binds RFID reads, yard data and WMS status to them, so a pallet staged in the wrong lane or a trailer left in the yard is visible in place. The Eastport Cross-Dock demo shows 50 dock doors and 1,180 RFID pallets live.

Automotive and manufacturing in West Sweden

West Sweden is home to car and truck manufacturing and a large base of suppliers that deliver to the lines in tight windows, often in returnable packaging that has to come back. Line-side buffers, sequencing areas, finished-goods stores and docks are where delays show up first.

Spatial Map shows that material flow on the plant layout: work in progress from your MES, stock by bin from your WMS, RFID reads on carriers and returnable packaging as live markers. The Summit Assembly demo shows assembly lines, workstations with andon calls, RFID WIP carriers and 867 raw-material and finished-goods rack locations.

Furniture and home retail

Sweden is known worldwide for home furnishing and flat-pack furniture, and the format behind it — large stores with showrooms on several floors and a self-serve warehouse of bulky flat packs — is hard to keep track of. Shoppers and staff need to find the right aisle and bin, and the store needs to know what is on the shelf before a customer walks to an empty location.

Spatial Map maps every floor with its escalators and lifts, colours shelves and aisle locations by stock from your systems, and gives staff and visitors walking routes with the Navigate button — around walls and through doors, turn by turn, also on share links. Routes stay on one floor. The Retail Mart demo shows a three-floor store with escalators, lifts and 167 shelving runs.

Stockholm venues and events

Stockholm and Gothenburg host arenas, concert halls and congress venues that run sport, music and trade fairs through the year. Operations teams want gates, concourses, room capacity and crews on one screen during an event, and the record afterwards. The Crown Park Stadium and Lakeside Convention Center demos show turnstile scans, crowd counters, rooms over capacity and crates tracked from dock to booth.

GDPR, co-determination and working with us

Under the GDPR, location data that can be linked to an employee is personal data; Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) is the Swedish supervisory authority. Sweden’s Co-determination in the Workplace Act (MBL) also means employers generally negotiate with the trade union before significant changes, and introducing technical monitoring is commonly treated as one. Your legal advisers decide what applies; most projects start by tagging pallets, carriers and equipment rather than people. A data processing agreement is available, and the security page explains how data is protected.

The interface is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese, not in Swedish, and Swedish teams typically use it in English; your own names stay in Swedish, å, ä and ö included. Spatial Map is sold online at the same USD price worldwide, and our team works with customers in Sweden remotely, by video call and through the contact form.

How Spatial Map does it

From building plan to live fulfilment map

  1. 01

    Import the plan

Upload a PDF or DWG (AutoCAD R2004–R2018) of the warehouse, plant or store and place it at real-world scale.

  2. 02

    Draw racks, floors and docks

Trace racks with their bins, pick zones, dock doors, escalators, lifts and walls on every floor.

  3. 03

    Connect WMS, MES and RFID

Rows arrive through REST polling, CSV or Excel uploads, or the table write API (bulk upsert, sent in batches).

  4. 04

    Operate, navigate, report

Live map, walking routes, history playback, and reports exported to PDF, Excel, CSV or JSON.

Questions from Swedish teams

No. The app is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese, and Swedish teams typically use it in English. Shelf names, rack codes and report titles can be in Swedish.

Possibly. Under the Co-determination in the Workplace Act (MBL), employers generally negotiate with the union before significant changes, and technical monitoring of employees is commonly treated as one; your legal advisers decide. Projects that tag only goods, carriers and equipment usually raise fewer questions, and Spatial Map only shows the data you send it.

Yes, if the WMS can expose its data. Spatial Map polls a REST endpoint on a schedule (JSON, GeoJSON or CSV), accepts CSV, Excel, JSON or GeoJSON uploads, or receives rows through the table write API. It does not replace the WMS; it shows its data on the building.

Yes. The Navigate button builds walking routes around walls and through doors with turn-by-turn steps, also on read-only share links. Routes stay on one floor, so a trip between floors is planned per floor.

No. Spatial Map is sold online and our team works with Swedish customers remotely, by video call and through the contact form.

No. Pricing is the same worldwide and in US dollars: a 7-day free trial for up to 5 facilities, then Pro at $60 a month or $600 a year for up to 4 facilities. Larger estates are quoted as custom services.
