Indoor mapping and RFID tracking for venues, ports and cold stores in Qatar

Few countries have built so many large venues in so short a time. Qatar’s stadiums, terminals, museums and exhibition halls now have to be run efficiently for decades, alongside the port, free-zone and cold-store capacity that keeps the country supplied. Spatial Map turns each of those buildings into a live 3D map fed by your turnstiles, counters, RFID readers and sensors — in Arabic or English, with nothing to install.

World Cup stadiums with a second life

The stadiums built or rebuilt for the 2022 FIFA World Cup did not close when the tournament ended. They host league and international football — including the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, played in early 2024 — as well as concerts and other large events, and Doha is due to host the 2030 Asian Games. For the teams that run them, every event day is the same puzzle: which gates are backing up, which concourse is filling, where the stewards, cleaners and kit crates are, and which counters or readers have gone quiet.

Spatial Map draws the bowl, concourses, gates and suites in 3D and binds your access-control, people-counting and point-of-sale data to them. The Crown Park Stadium demo shows turnstile scans, crowd counters, seating and row allocations, F&B sales and VIP suites on one live map, with built-in reports for the post-event review.

Hamad Port and the Qatar Free Zones

Hamad Port, south of Doha, is the country’s main container gateway, and the Qatar Free Zones Authority runs two zones close to the main logistics nodes: Ras Bufontas next to Hamad International Airport and Umm Alhoul beside Hamad Port. Warehousing, distribution and light manufacturing in and around these zones is where most RFID and stock-visibility projects in Qatar start.

For a port-side cross-dock, the Eastport demo shows dock doors, yard slots, the gate and weighbridge and RFID-tagged pallets moving between inbound and outbound doors. Your WMS or RFID middleware posts rows to a table, or Spatial Map polls its REST endpoint — the hardware stays your choice.

Hamad International Airport: transfers and air cargo

Hamad International Airport is a major transfer hub between Europe, Asia and Africa, so terminal teams handle connecting passengers, bags and equipment around the clock, and air cargo moves through the same campus. A terminal map has to show more than gates: security and transfer queues, carousels, lounges, wheelchairs and the devices that report them.

The Silverbay Airport demo maps a two-level terminal with check-in, security, immigration, gates and reclaim. RFID bag tags appear where they were last read, BLE-tagged wheelchairs and equipment where the gateway software last placed them, and device health reports show which readers need a visit.

Food security: domestic production and strategic storage

Qatar has invested heavily in food security in recent years — expanding domestic dairy, poultry and greenhouse production and building strategic storage for staple foods — while still importing much of what it eats. All of that relies on cold rooms, freezers and chilled distribution centres that stay within range.

Spatial Map colours each cold room and freezer by the live reading from your probes, shows door states, reefer docks and stock on hold, and keeps every change in the row history so a temperature excursion can be reviewed on the map. It does not raise alarms and it is not your QA record; it gives the team one shared picture. The Polar Pharma demo shows the pattern with 1,140 rack locations.

Lusail, Doha’s districts, museums and exhibition halls

Lusail and Doha’s newer mixed-use districts combine offices, hotels, malls and residences in large multi-floor buildings, and the capital’s national museums and exhibition and convention centres draw visitors all year. Operators want occupancy by room, climate in the galleries, tagged exhibits and equipment, and simple directions for visitors and contractors.

The Production Museum demo maps three floors of galleries with visitor counters, climate sensors and RFID-tagged objects; Lakeside Convention Center shows halls, booths and session rooms over capacity. The Navigate button builds turn-by-turn walking routes on each floor, also on read-only share links.

National Vision 2030 and working with us from Qatar

Qatar National Vision 2030 sets out a more diversified, knowledge-based economy, and venues, logistics and tourism are part of how that is being delivered. Spatial Map fits the operating side of it: a browser-based twin that the in-house team, the facility manager and the event contractor can all open, with the Arabic interface fully right-to-left and English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese available to the rest of a very international workforce.

Spatial Map is sold online and our team works with customers remotely. Start the free trial, or send a floor plan and a sample export through the contact form; larger venues and estates are scoped as a fixed-price custom service, in Arabic or English.

Questions from teams in Qatar

No. Spatial Map is sold online and our team works with customers in Qatar remotely, by video call and through the contact form. The app runs in the browser, so nothing has to be installed at the venue or warehouse.

Yes. The Crown Park Stadium demo maps 30,513 seats as cells in their seating sections, with turnstile scans and crowd counters arriving as table rows from the venue’s own systems.

No. It shows the state on the map and in reports — gates and concourses coloured by your counter data — but it does not send notifications. Escalation stays with your control room and its existing systems.

Yes. A read-only share link shows the layers and floors you choose, with an expiry date and a view cap, and you can revoke it at any time. Walking directions work on share links too.

Prices are in US dollars and the same worldwide: a 7-day free trial for up to 5 facilities, then Pro at $60 a month or $600 a year for up to 4 facilities. Larger estates are quoted as custom services.
