Indoor mapping and asset tracking software for Iraq

Much of Iraq's sea freight comes in through Umm Qasr near Basra, its oil and gas operations depend on large stores of spare parts and tools, and Baghdad and Erbil have growing mall and distribution sectors. Spatial Map turns those warehouses, stores and shops into live 3D maps in the browser, showing where each pallet, part, tool and tagged asset is — fed by the RFID, BLE and inventory systems you already run.

Umm Qasr, Basra and the ports of the south

Umm Qasr, near Basra at the head of the Gulf, is Iraq's main commercial seaport, and much of the country's imported food, medicines, building materials and equipment lands there before moving north by road. The Grand Faw port is under development on the Faw peninsula, and the Development Road is a planned road and rail corridor intended to connect it northwards to the Turkish border. Whatever the timeline of those projects, the warehouses, transit sheds and truck yards around the southern ports are where the day-to-day work happens.

Spatial Map maps such a site as it runs: dock doors and their turns, trailers in yard slots, the gate and the weighbridge, and RFID-tagged pallets read through the building. The Eastport Cross-Dock demo shows the full picture, with built-in reports for the yard, dock doors and gate exported to PDF or Excel at the end of the shift.

Spare-parts and tool stores for oil and gas

Oil and gas fields, refineries and the contractors who serve them keep large stores of valves, pumps, seals, instruments, consumables and tools. When a critical spare is needed, the questions are simple and urgent: is it in stock, which bin is it in, and who signed out the tool that should be on the shelf?

In Spatial Map the store becomes a rack map. The rack tool lays out bays with bin locations, and stock per bin comes from your ERP or maintenance system — by REST polling, the table write API or a CSV export — so each location shows what it holds. Tools and equipment tagged with RFID or BLE appear where your reader middleware or gateway software last reported them, and check-in and check-out are kept in the row history. The Harborview Campus demo shows tagged assets with check-in and check-out; the asset-management solution covers the rest.

  • Spatial Map does not compute positions from signal strength; your RTLS engine or gateway software reports a position or a room, and the map shows it.
  • Every change to a part or tool row is kept, up to 500 recent changes, so a missing item can be traced back.

Erbil and the Kurdistan Region

Erbil has developed into a logistics and retail centre for the north of the country, with distribution warehouses, wholesale markets and malls serving the Kurdistan Region and the wider area, and overland freight moving through it in both directions. Distributors there often run several warehouses and want one view of all of them.

Keep each warehouse as a facility in one workspace and group them into named solutions. The Crestline Fulfillment demo shows a distribution site with 2,204 rack locations, pick-to-light, packing, staging lanes and forklifts. The interface is available in Arabic and English, among six languages; it is not available in Kurdish, and teams in the region typically work in English or Arabic, while their own room names, rack codes and report titles can be written in Kurdish.

Malls and retail in Baghdad

Baghdad's retail scene has expanded with modern malls and hypermarkets alongside traditional markets, and multi-floor stores bring the familiar questions of shrink, stock accuracy and footfall. Spatial Map draws each level with its escalators and lifts, shows RFID reads at the exits, colours departments by shelf stock and fridges by temperature, and places BLE-tagged trolleys and staff on the map. The Retail Mart demo runs 85 RFID readers over three floors.

Food and medicine imports: the cold chain

A large share of the food and medicines sold in Iraq is imported, so cold stores and chilled warehouses in Basra, Baghdad and Erbil sit at the centre of supply. Importers and distributors need to see which rooms are in range, where stock on hold is, and how a room behaved during a hot summer afternoon.

Spatial Map colours each cold room and freezer by the reading from your sensors, shows door states and held pallets, and replays a table's changes with the History player. It does not send alarms and does not make a site compliant; your monitoring system and procedures stay the record. The Polar Pharma demo shows the pattern on 1,140 rack locations.

Working with Spatial Map from Iraq

Spatial Map is sold online and our team works with Iraqi customers remotely, by video call and through the contact form. For larger sites we scope floor-plan digitisation and RFID, BLE or ERP integration as a fixed-price custom service, in Arabic or English.

How Spatial Map does it

From drawings to a live store or yard map

  1. 01

    Import the plan

Upload a PDF or DWG (AutoCAD R2004–R2018) drawing, or a PNG or JPG of the plan, and place it at real-world scale.

  2. 02

    Lay out racks and bays

Racks with bin locations, rooms, dock doors, yard slots, stairs and lifts.

  3. 03

    Feed parts and tags

Stock per bin from your ERP, RFID reads and BLE positions via the table write API, REST polling or file uploads.

  4. 04

    Find, trace and report

Live map, row history for every part and tool, and reports exported to PDF or Excel.

Questions from teams in Iraq

No. We have no office, reseller or partner in Iraq. Spatial Map is sold online and our team works with you remotely, by video call or through the contact form, in Arabic or English.

No. The interface is available in Arabic (with a full right-to-left layout), English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese. Teams in the Kurdistan Region usually work in English or Arabic; your own shape names, rack codes and report titles can be written in Kurdish.

Yes. Upload a CSV or Excel export of parts and bins and the rack map shows stock per location. RFID readers or BLE gateways can be added later, through your middleware or gateway software.

The ones you choose. Spatial Map is hardware-agnostic: your RFID middleware, RTLS engine or IoT platform posts rows to a table through the write API, or exposes a REST endpoint that Spatial Map polls on a schedule.
